Cash reward for tip-offs about Bendigo kangaroo culprits

A CASH reward has been put up to find those involved in the mutilation of a kangaroo at Coles car park in the CBD on Friday night.

Bendigo business Australian Social Network Marketing is offering $500 for any tip-offs that lead to details on who was involved in the incident.

Director Tom Bailey said he hoped the guilty party would come forward.

“I’m hoping that someone who’s seen it or someone involved may feel guilty and admit to the incident. Having this incentive will hopefully lead to information,” he said.

Mr Bailey urged anyone who knew information to email

All information will be passed on to police.

Wildlife rescuers were alerted to the dead kangaroo late Friday night.

Wildlife Rescue Emergency Service co-founder Jo Lyall described the incident as cruel and inhumane.

“Some sick and twisted people took her to the upstairs car park of Coles; she would have been alive when they mutilated her,”she said.

“They put her in a trolley and pushed her down the stairs.

“We took her for an autopsy and it was ascertained there was human intervention.”
